We appealed the assessment of a large regional mall in Los Angeles County. After working to resolve the case with the assessor and reaching an impasse, we took an aggressive stance and brought the case to an Assessment Appeals Board hearing. The board reduced the assessed value of the property by more than $30,000,000. This reduction generated a refund of more than $620,000 for the taxpayer for a single year’s reduction.
