Avid appealed the base year assessment of a Possessory Interest parcel in San Diego on behalf of the developer. Our efforts reduced the base year assessment of the land by more than 63% and generated a refund more than $2,300,000 for the taxpayer. Additionally, due to this base year reduction (permanent) the taxpayer will save more than $340,000 per year in property taxes as long as they lease the property.
